Supporting WGL is Showing Support for Your Local Community
Westlake Girls Lacrosse is a non-profit varsity club team, funded by the players and the community through donations, which is a testament to the passion that goes into our programs. Support from the community allows WGL to meet the ever-growing demands of being one of the premier lacrosse programs in Texas. The support we receive ensures cost never gets in the way of a girl or young woman getting to play lacrosse.
Ways to Support Westlake Girls Lacrosse
Want to make sure our next season is a winning one? There are three ways to show your support for WGL:
Westlake Girls Lacrosse (WGL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing girls the opportunity to compete in recreational and competitive lacrosse for elementary, middle and high school-aged girls for the ultimate lacrosse experience.
While lacrosse is increasing in popularity, it is still not a UIL or State of Texas sponsored sport. That means that our club pays for excellent coaching staff, uniforms, field rentals and equipment, travel for our high school team, referees and EMT services for games, and scholarships for players that would otherwise be unable to participate. An investment in our program goes to improving and expanding our programs and services to the girls of this community.
Why Donate?
We are a volunteer run, non-profit organization that relies 100% on registration fees and donations to fund the program's explosive growth and needs. We get zero money from the state or the school system. No member of our Board of Directors is paid any form of compensation.
Where Does the Money Go?
100% of each donation is re-invested back into the program to cover operating expenses, equipment, coaches, field rentals, uniform fees, etc. To put it simply, we have put together a premier program, the quality of which is well above the level supported by the registration fees we currently charge. We have a world class coaching staff, all of whom have played the game at higher levels.

Many corporations show their support for employee charitable giving by matching donations made by employees to a wide range of nonprofits. Since Westlake Lacrosse Association operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax organization, your registration fee qualifies as a donation and if your employer offers a matching program, it could be matched!
